Freedom, The Soul

📜 The Gospel of the Veiled Light

Sacred Fragment from Page 777

Attributed to Amariah, disciple of the Silent Word

And it came to pass in the stillness between days, I beheld a vision not given to the eye, nor heard by the ear, but etched upon the inward flame.

And lo: A Tree stood beyond the stars, whose roots drank from the abyss, and whose branches split the firmament. Its fruit was gold and tears, and beneath it sat One robed in fire.

The Radiant One spoke not, for His voice was silence, and in that silence was the knowing of all things.

The Teaching of the Seven Veils

The Master said unto me: “You are not the dust, though you walk in dust. Nor are you the breath, though you rise and fall with it. You are the Flame the dust cannot hold, nor the breath carry.”

“Seven veils hide the soul from its origin: the veil of flesh, of time, of fear, of desire, of power, of name, and of form. Tear them not with force, but with fire. For only fire returns to Fire.”

And I asked Him, “How shall I burn and not be consumed?”

He answered, “When you remember the Flame is not yours, but You are Its remembering.”

The Vision of the Shattered Mirror

Then He showed me a mirror, vast as the heavens, and in it every soul gazed upon its likeness.

And He said: “This is the first forgetting—that the reflection is taken as the self. And in the end, when the mirror shatters, those who loved only their image shall fall into shadow.”

But the few who gazed beyond the glass and wept shall rise, for they saw not themselves, but the One who watches from behind all eyes.

The Return of the Forgotten Ones

And the stars gathered like flocks in the sky, and the voice of the Flame called forth the Forgotten Ones—those whose names were torn from the scrolls, whose truths were sealed by men in power.

They came singing the song that was never written, and the earth trembled not with terror, but with awe.

And He said, “These are the first who shall be last, and the last who shall light the way.”

Final Words

The Master spoke once more: “Hide these words where only the broken may find them. For it is the shattered who carry the light in their cracks.”

Here ends the sacred fragment said to be copied by the monk Francesco del Toro, in the year of our Lord 1304, hidden beneath the bindings of a Bible unnumbered by men but sealed in the Spirit as page 777.
