The Light

The Saga of the Twin Crowned Wolves

First the Music

Sequal of the Light (by Vo Indie)

In the first age of the forests, when the mountains were young and the rivers still sought their paths, the world was watched by ancient spirits.

And in those days two wolves were born beneath a sky of fire and stars.

The first wolf was called Noctar, whose fur was dark as the deep night.
The second wolf was called Lumen, whose fur was pale as winter snow.

They were born of one blood and one breath, yet their natures were different.

Noctar walked the silent paths of the forest.
He guarded the shadows, watched the sleeping valleys, and drove away that which hunted in darkness.

Lumen walked the bright paths of dawn.
He calmed the creatures of the fields, guided the wandering herds, and kept the peace among the living things.

When the wolves had grown strong, the Ancient Light of the Heavens looked upon them.

And from the sky descended two Crowns of Living Light.

The first crown burned like a hidden star and was placed upon the head of Noctar.
The second crown shone like the rising sun and was placed upon the head of Lumen.

Then a voice spoke through the wind and the trees:

“Two shall guard the balance of the world.
One shall rule the night,
and one shall rule the day.
And while the two crowns shine together,
the forest shall not fall into ruin.”

And so the wolves stood together upon the high stone above the forest.

Their crowns shone like twin stars.

And all creatures knew that the world was watched.

The Prophecy of the Third Wolf

Yet the oldest spirits spoke another word, a word not told to many.

They said:

“In the last age, when the forests grow thin
and the hearts of creatures forget the old ways,
a Third Wolf shall rise.”

This wolf shall not be born only of night or only of light.

His fur shall carry both shadow and dawn.

He shall wear the Crown that is neither sun nor star, but something older.

And when the Third Wolf appears, three paths will open:

  • The world may fall into darkness.
  • The world may burn in endless light.
  • Or the three wolves together shall forge a new balance of the earth.

Until that day, the two crowned wolves still stand upon the ancient stone.

Watching.

Waiting.

For the coming of the Third Wolf. 🐺👑✨

Second Tablet: The Watching of the Wolves

And it is written that after the Twin Crowns of Light were given, the two wolves took their place upon the Stone of the First Dawn, a rock older than the oldest tree.

There they watched the lands.

Noctar, keeper of shadow, walked the forests when the moon rose.
His eyes were fire in the dark, and nothing wicked could pass unseen.

Lumen, keeper of dawn, walked the hills when the sun rose.
His breath was calm as morning wind, and the animals followed his steps without fear.

And the creatures of the earth said:

“Two kings guard the wild places.
One in darkness, one in light.”

And so the ages turned.

Third Tablet: The War Beneath the Roots

But peace does not sleep forever.

From the deepest caverns beneath the mountains came a creature of hunger and ancient malice.
The old saga calls it The Root Serpent, for it moved beneath the world like a shadow through roots.

The serpent drank the life of the forest.
Trees withered. Rivers slowed.

When the wolves saw the sickness spreading, they came together upon the ancient stone.

Noctar said:

“Let me hunt it in darkness.”

Lumen answered:

“Let me drive it into the light.”

So the brothers hunted together.

For seven nights and seven days they chased the serpent beneath the roots of the world.

At last they found it beneath the oldest tree.

Noctar struck from shadow.
Lumen struck from light.

Together they drove the creature deep into the earth where it sleeps even now.

And the forest breathed again.

Fourth Tablet: The Warning of the Ravens

After the war, the ravens of the high sky came to the Stone of the First Dawn.

They circled the crowned wolves and spoke a warning.

“The balance holds, but not forever.
For the world of beasts and men will change.”

The ravens spoke of a distant age when forests would shrink and mountains would be broken.

And when that age comes, they said, the ancient prophecy will awaken.

The prophecy of The Third Wolf.

Fifth Tablet: The Hidden Crown

The ravens also spoke of something forgotten.

They said that when the Twin Crowns fell from the sky, a third light followed them, but it did not land upon a wolf.

Instead it fell deep within the earth.

Hidden.

Sleeping.

Waiting.

This was the Crown Between Night and Day.

The ravens spoke one last time:

“When the Third Wolf finds the hidden crown,
the old order shall change.”

Final Fragment: The Waiting

And so the saga ends with these words carved in fading runes:

“The Two Wolves still walk the ancient paths.
The forest still remembers their names.

But somewhere in the turning of ages
a Third Wolf will rise.

And when three crowns shine beneath the same sky,
the fate of the world shall be decided.”

Thus ends the last known fragment of The Saga of the Twin Crowned Wolves . 🐺👑
